Is Anxiety weighing you down?

Waiting…just waiting…most of my life I have spent waiting! Waiting to finish school, waiting to get married, waiting to buy a house, waiting to have a child, waiting for a better job.
Simply waiting can take its toll. Did I really hear from God? Am I chasing the wind? Why hasn’t it happened yet? What am I doing wrong? When this happens, anxiety and fear can take hold eventually causing depression. The scriptures say;

Anxious fear brings depression, but a life-giving word of encouragement can do wonders to restore joy to the heart. Proverbs 12:25 PT
Another translation says:
Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad. Prov 12:25-28 NKJV
In the Hebrew, the word “Anxiety” in Proverbs 12:25 literally means fear, heaviness and sorrow:
Anxiety/Anxious fear: (Hebrew-deh·ä·gä’ Strong’s H1674) Fear, Heaviness, SorrowIs there any area of your life where you are experiencing heaviness, sorrow and/or depression? Ask the Holy Spirit what the root cause is. Can it be traced back to an area of your life where you have been anxious and/or fearful about something? When we do not fully submit an area of our life to God, we do not trust the Lord in that area. So instead of peace, you get anxiety and fear!
You do not have to live in fear! Jesus Christ died and rose again by the power of the Holy Spirit, so you could live in peace and joy. Read the following scripture (out loud!) then pray:
Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad. Prov 12:25-28 NKJV
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I come before you in the Name of Your Son Jesus Christ. I ask for your Holy Spirit to reveal to me anywhere I have been fearful and anxious. (Wait for the Holy Spirit to bring it to your mind) Father, please forgive me for being fearful and anxious about _______. I submit (whatever it is) to you and ask you to remove all anxiety, fear and depression off of and out of me now. I ask you to send me a good word so my heart can be glad. Amen!
