One day I kept felling this strange pressure coming against my mind. It had happened before, but I would pray and it would leave. But this time, I prayed asking the Lord what it was. He immediately spoke back to my spirit, “It is the Spirit of the World trying to influence you, but if you read My Word out loud every day, you will no longer be influenced by it.” Two scriptures also came to mind after hearing this:
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. 1 Corinthians 2:12-14 NASB
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Romans 10:17
Apostle Paul tells us the Spirit of the World is real, and it is a SPIRIT. Romans 10:17 tells us FAITH comes by HEARING the Word of God. You can only hear the word of God if it is spoken out loud!
Every day, when I spend time in the word of God, I read a portion of it out loud. That pressure pressing against my mind has never returned! Also, it is easier for me to discern the leading of the God’s Spirit when I do this! AND, when I read the word of God out loud on a daily basis, I have more JOY and PEACE throughout the day!
I encourage you to read the following scriptures out loud:
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. John 14:27
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind! 2 Tim 1:7
